Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Funday..... Well, at least it used to be fun- guys used to bring beer and chips to my house (or some other dude's place) and we would order pizza pizza and talk shit. No one would really watch the game, and sans hesitation I say: no one really cared who won. It was about getting together and spouting off statistical forecasts for next season, about how your team was surely going to take it all next year. Then the convo would shift to some girl's booty or how some broad gave one of the boys head outside Tim Horton's. One of my favourite topics was reliving the latest "material" on what some dude we didn't like said to us on the way to the exam or incanted beside us in the urinal ("I've got a big dick!"). But alas, catz is just straight pussies now. The guys who used to boast about how they were innately alpha and how they just didn't give a shit are the same wimps disclaiming that they can't make it out because their wives won't like it, or that they have to help their girlfriends bake croissants or even worse they have to bring the kids (and wife). It astounds me that guys that were once sexually ambitious are now social slaves- literally extensions of their girl: devices to carry out female directives. It boggles the mind when these same, like-minded, like-situated, "friends" hang out with each other at bars, wives and kids in tow! You've already made the admission of pussy-whipped-ness, why clamour to save your masculinity by doing contrived "guy" things, when clearly you CANNOT EVEN HANG OUT WITH OTHER STRAIGHT MEN BY YOURSELF WHILE WATCHING THE BALL GAME. I tend to believe that the adage that women are less powerful than men ( at least in my North American society) is false. If women had no power, men would not collect wealth to attract women- no one would buy benz coupes, wear gucci or pursue corporate titles like vice-president. Quite simply, what attracts women? Power and wealth. What attracts men? Looks (the sexual appreciation of). Women rule the world and that is no more apparent in the dynamic of marriage, where if a man truly dominates he is considered a chauvinist, a dinosaur and possibly an abuser. The norm is for women to control men completely, from the frequency of "receiving" sex (e.g. the phrase "putting out"), to final say on expenditures (household or otherwise), to the naming of children and injection of "family" values. Men who decide for themselves are often ostracized for doing so. For example, my neighbour, a raw, construction worker-type who grew up on the wrong side of town, but through hard work found himself settled in a good community, recently remarked to me that he was thankful that his wife let him buy an electric guitar. An avid musician, I was surprised that this rough, ex-drug dealing brawler would have to ask his wife's permission to allow him to spend his own money on a hobby that gave him great joy. He explained that his wife had originally intended to spend that money on night tables for the bedroom. Sigh, this is fucking preposterous. The current North American standard prescribes that a woman has final say on the allocation of family funds, despite who is generating the income. In this case, my neighbour who through hard physical work had placed his wife in a decent house in a good neighbourhood had the mindset of being thankful to his wife for letting him spend his money on something that he wanted. This was of course, not an action to re-allocate funds from his children's education vehicle or the such, but to take money out of the night table kitty. FUCK. How nice of his wife to let him plant daisies on the prison grounds. Anywayz, super bowl Sunday. A buddy of mine that is still technically single has invited us to his loft to watch the game. I might go, but if gfs/wives start showing up I'm creaking......unless they want to bang- which is pure heatscore.

First Ent

So yeah, I'm chillin' in the cut. Catz is weird and shit. There was the storm of the year here today- started at 4 am. Snow sucks, even if you like skiing. People who claim that they "snowboard" or "board" are very likely to be posers. Like 80%. Seems like everybody boards, but when I hit the slopes, everybody SUCKs......
